Maya in Disguise (again)

Maya has taken on a new role and has been assigned to infiltrate a local high school. She believes that this hat will help her disguise herself as a teenage girl.

Maya believes that people will look past her furry face, long nose, and floppy ears as long as she acts the part.

So, for this investigation she has learned to act like a teenage girl. She has mastered everything from gossiping to putting on makeup.

Maya the Duck

For Maya's next CIA assignment she will be traveling Europe in disguise as a duck, CIA officials have stated "Nobody ever suspects the duck." Unfortunately, experts have found that the same is not true of dogs. In fact, everyone always suspects the dog.

Maya has been working on her duck impressions, she has definitely mastered the art of looking like a duck, but will she be able to master quacking like a duck? No one will believe that she is truly a duck unless she can quack like a duck.

Fortunately, Maya is a fast learner and she is certain that by the time of her departure she will have mastered all aspects of looking, acting, and sounding like a duck. Good luck Maya, on your brave and serious mission.

Maya's New Favorite Cat

Maya has recently discovered the wonderful world of "Hello Kitty." This adorable little cartoon cat has changed Maya's views of the entire feline species. She no longer sees cats as the enemy, she now sees cats as potential friends.
Maya wants to shout out to the world "I love Hello Kitty!" Maya would like to share her story with other dogs around the world so that they might see that they should not hate cats, that they should strive to create peace instead of conflict, and that they should befriend their feline co-workers and neighbors.

Maya's Trip to France

Maya recently took a trip to France. As it turns out Maya is very good at speaking french and she made many friends while in France. However, she does not appreciate how pretentious french poodles are and is glad to be back in the states.

One thing she did enjoy while she was in France was the all the delicious bread and cheese. She found croissants to be quite enjoyable even though they were different than anything she had ever had before.

However, her favorite thing was having a picnic in the evening on the Champs de Mars. She loved seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle! And the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower was spectacular!

Maya was so happy that she was able to take this trip to France, it is her first time visiting Europe and she would love to return some day and see more sights! Whats next? Italy perhaps, or Spain. Maya just wants to visit another place with excellent food.

Maya's Newspaper Hat

Maya has recently discovered that she has quite a talent for folding newspaper hats. Despite the fact that she does not have opposable thumbs, she has managed to be successful Maya really enjoys folding paper, and finds that wearing the folded paper hat makes her feel more like a pirate, or perhaps a sailor.

Fortunately for Maya, people are very interested in purchasing newspaper hats that were folded by a dog. It looks like she might spend the rest of her life folding paper hats for her loyal human and dog customers.

My Dog Maya

My dog Maya was born in the Bahamas in June of 2008. As a stray dog from the Bahamas she is known as a "potcake." She was rescued by a veterinarian and brought to New York state, where my family found her in our local SPCA. She was 4 months old when we welcomed her into our home, she was a sweet innocent little yellow puppy. Now, she is almost 3 years old, and she is the queen of our house. That's the American dream; she came to this country as a stray and she has made herself a queen.
